Company Overview
I started Tarsier Software Solutions in September 2000, with the aim of conceptualising and developing application concepts that are of commercial value and licensing them to other companies for development into a distributable application. I call these Application Concepts.

At the time I had been working on the idea for an application to share information within an office, but starting a company to develop and market it just wasn't doable, hence the idea of licensing the application. However, just after registering Tarsier Software Solutions as a company and securing the domain name, I had an idea for a personal alarm clock. The product description for this and subsequent product ideas was faster to put together than for the application concept, so although the company name says software, you'll also find ideas for products here too. I call these Product Concepts and they are also available for licencing.

Licensing an Application or a Product Concept enables a company to grow its business either by obtaining a new product line or enhancing an existing one. Licensing also reduces the operational risks associated with business growth through product development.

From this web-site I'm also providing a range of simple standalone applications, utility functions, OpenOffice Calc / Excel macros etc. that I've developed. I call them "Tarsier Tools" and hope you'll find them useful.

I've also included a list of books that I have found helpful or not.

Tarsier Software Solutions is registered in Singapore, but running it isn't my full time job, so the development of this site and the application and product concepts will be rather slow. I chose the name Tarsier, as my wife like the Tarsiers we saw when we visited the Singapore Night Safari.
